- Welcome the Stranger. Hand-spun, natural and hand-dyed churro yarn, cotton warp. The center symbol is a recreation of those found throughout the American Southwest and represents migration —whether forced or voluntary. The red represents the cost of migration, the blue at the top the hope for a new life. It’s inspired by my despair over the current immigration actions by this government.
